**MUSICARTE FESTIVAL — 18TH EDITION
Barletta, GOS Garden — August 5, 6, 19, and 20, 2026**
The most anticipated summer event for music lovers returns to Barletta: the MusicArte Festival reaches its 18th edition this year, reaffirming itself as one of the most established and appreciated cultural events in the Apulian territory. Organized by the G. Curci Culture and Music Association - ETS, under the artistic direction of Maestro Francesco Monopoli, the festival this year presents four distinct evenings characterized by different styles and atmospheres, united by a common thread: the search for musical quality and the promotion of artists of national and international prestige.
The event will take place in the picturesque setting of the GOS Garden, located at Viale Marconi 49 in Barletta, a green space that transforms every summer into a small open-air theater, among soft lights and an intimate atmosphere, ideal for welcoming a diverse audience, from classical music enthusiasts to fans of contemporary jazz.
We kick off **on Wednesday, August 5, with "Bacharach Songbook,"** an intimate tribute to the compositional genius of Burt Bacharach, featuring the voices of Savio Vurchio and Stefania Tesoro, accompanied on piano by Aquilino De Luca: a return to the purest essence of songs like "The Look of Love" and "Close to You," stripped of the orchestral arrangements that made them famous.
**On Thursday, August 6,** the Crossway Trio will present their recording project "**Sweet Sweat**": Daniela Fiorentino on clarinet, Walter Bagnato on accordion and piano, and Fabio Bagnato on guitar will guide the audience on a journey that intertwines Argentine tango, nuevo tango, jazz, and klezmer, resulting from an artistic path that has performed on international stages from Milan to Radio Popolare.
**On Wednesday, August 19,** the stage will host "**Classical Italian Songs and Latin-Jazz,**" a concert by singer Alessia Martegiani and guitarist Maurizio Di Fulvio, among the most interesting names in international jazz guitar. The program juxtaposes the tradition of Neapolitan songs with Brazilian choro and major Latin jazz standards, from Jobim to Tosti, from Pixinguinha to Chick Corea.
The grand finale **on Thursday, August 20, with "...And They Call It Summer,"** a show by the Frank Tritto Swingtet in collaboration with the voice of Badrya Razem, an award-winning jazz singer and teacher at the conservatories of Reggio Calabria, Pavia, and Venice. A repertoire that ranges from classics of Neapolitan music to the swing of Sergio Caputo, filled with irony, anecdotes, and improvisation.
"The MusicArte Festival was born and grows with the aim of bringing quality music to Barletta, able to speak to different audiences without ever compromising on artistic values," says Maestro Francesco Monopoli, the festival's artistic director. "Eighteen editions are an important milestone, which we owe to the trust of an ever-growing audience and the passion of all those who, every year, make this project possible."
