4th Concert Season – The Academy Concerts - International String – Mediterranean Strings – Sacred Music
From February 8 to June 28, 2026, the Auditorium S. Luigi hosts the 4th Concert Season “The Academy Concerts” - International String – Mediterranean Strings – Sacred Music, a series of
16 concerts that invites the public to experience music not just as a performance, but as a profound experience.
Music is knowledge of the world, self-care, education in listening and sensitivity, and a space for meeting where people feel like a community again. In a time that often divides, the sound of instruments becomes a language that unites, a silent antidote to solitude and disintegration.
The season offers a journey through the faces of classical music: from the spirituality of sacred music to the intimacy of chamber music, from the dialogue between soloist and orchestra to the expressive power of strings, culminating in days dedicated to the piano, in a mosaic of sound experiences that span different eras and sensitivities.
Also featured will be the
Philharmonic Orchestra of the Mediterranean, composed of local and international talents, symbolizing a Mediterranean that does not separate but unites, bringing together cultures, schools, and traditions in a single musical breath.
“The Academy Concerts” also represent a path that ideally leads to the now legendary
International Piano Festival of the Mediterranean, which over the years, in November, has seen and will see the presence of great interpreters from the world stage, including
Mikhail Pletnev, Marc-André Hamelin, Ivo Pogorelich, Gidon Kremer, Anna Fedorova, and many others.
The artistic and human engine of this program is the work of three musicians of extraordinary sensitivity and vision:
cellist
Mauro Paolo Monopoli, one of Italy's most renowned cellists;
pianist
Massimiliano Monopoli, one of the most famous young Italian pianists on the international scene; and cellist
Sujari Britt, a world-famous musician from New York.
This season is more than a program: it is a living cultural presence, a reality to be supported with attendance and participation, a place where music continues to create connections, generate beauty, and give meaning to shared time.
