Rizes-Roots of Community
is a journey of discovery, new experiences, and sharing through artistic workshops, photography, excursions, and guided tours that delve into the charm of places and lived experiences, to narrate memories, knowledge, traditions, folklore, and transformations of the socio-economic fabric of the territory.

Rìzes is a project designed and planned to engage people over the age of 65 in free and stimulating activities, aiming to promote active aging and good health through social initiatives, moments of sharing, laboratory activities, and enjoyment of cultural and landscape heritage.

A wide range of proposals:
Excursions and guided tours
Opportunities to discover fascinating places in the territory, rejuvenate by connecting with nature, and promote the psycho-physical development of the beneficiaries.
Creative and manual workshops
Outdoor and indoor activities to stimulate creativity, enhance manual skills, and encourage the discovery of new interests and passions.
Cultural events designed by participants
Beneficiaries will have the opportunity to conceive and organize small cultural events, promoting their active participation in the social life of the area.
Moments of sharing skills and interests
Informal meetings open to the community, for the exchange of knowledge and experiences among peers and across different generations.

Participation is reserved for adults over 65 residing in the municipalities of Martano, Melpignano, and nearby municipalities.

The Project is implemented by VIVARCH APS and is promoted by AReSS and the Puglia Region. Partners include the Municipality of Martano, the Municipality of Melpignano (Le), and the Social Zone of Martano.
