From July 10 to 12, the Park of Wonders of Light invites residents and visitors to experience a new evening adventure amidst nature, luminous installations, and marine imagery.

There are places that seem to change identity at sunset. In Lecce, in the green heart of the Belloluogo Park, Salento summer finds one of its most evocative images in LUMINA WORLD, an immersive path that transforms nature, light, and marine imagery into an experience to be savored slowly, step by step.

In the heart of Salento summer, Lecce reaffirms its vocation as a city capable of uniting historical heritage, urban green spaces, and contemporary languages. From July 10 to 12, the Belloluogo Park hosts the last weekend of LUMINA WORLD, the immersive experience that has transformed one of the city's green spaces into a luminous landscape inspired by the marine world.

For the final weekend, the pathway presents a renewed formula: the “Last Weekend Experience.” The area with giant lanterns themed around Aquarius becomes the heart of a more convivial visit, designed to allow the public to experience the park not just as a route to traverse, but as a place to stop, dine, drink, and share an outdoor evening.

Among luminous arches and suspended fish, seahorses, shells, and giant marine creatures, visitors are invited to enter a visual narrative that evokes the deep connection between Puglia and the sea. Light is not merely a decoration: it accompanies the journey, redesigns spaces, and invites people to view Lecce from a different perspective—more nocturnal, more intimate, more surprising. The garden of the Belloluogo Tower thus transforms into a suspended environment, where nature, creativity, and imagination meet.

The decision to reconfigure food, beverage, and relaxation areas at the lower part of the pathway responds to the desire to offer a new experience, creating a more chill zone to pause between lanterns, share a table, listen to music, observe installations, and enjoy the evening at a leisurely pace.

The last weekend is not only the closing of an event but a new way to experience LUMINA WORLD: more relaxed, more experiential, closer to the habits of the summer public seeking places to spend an evening filled with culture, social interaction, and quality leisure time.

The initiative is part of a vision for local promotion that sees events not only as opportunities for entertainment but as means for enhancing the destination. LUMINA WORLD guides the public in discovering Lecce in an evening dimension that is accessible and evocative, giving the Belloluogo Park a new relevance in the cultural and tourism experience of the city.

In this sense, the event contributes to strengthening the image of Lecce as a vibrant evening destination, capable of offering experiences that integrate visits, landscapes, entertainment, and time spent in the area. An art city that does not limit itself to recounting its monumental heritage but experiments with new forms of hospitality and participation through contemporary creativity.

As part of the program, on Friday, July 10, there is also a musical evening dedicated to a younger audience: the closing weekend party “Lumina House Experience – Lantern Stage.”

Not a traditional club, not just a simple DJ set, but a HOUSE EXPERIENCE in the heart of an artistic and scenic pathway. Music meets installations, and the audience crosses the park as a living space, with marine lanterns becoming luminous backdrops for a night designed to present LUMINA WORLD in a new light.

The presence of a musical appointment in the last weekend broadens the target audience and confirms the cross-sectional nature of LUMINA WORLD: an experience capable of offering different modes of participation within the same context.

From July 10 to 12, the Belloluogo Park thus becomes the place to bid farewell to LUMINA WORLD through a new atmosphere. An invitation to experience Lecce and Puglia with a different perspective: in the slow time of the evening, among giant lanterns, urban landscape, marine imagery, and opportunities for meeting.

Because promoting a destination also involves experiences capable of transforming places, generating memories, and offering visitors new reasons to choose, traverse, and narrate the territory.

This initiative is part of the Puglia Cohesion Agreement 2021-2027 – Thematic Area 03 Business Competitiveness – Intervention Line 03.02 Tourism and Hospitality.
