Simona Molinari, singer-songwriter and composer, with seven albums to her credit and an extraordinary production, is the protagonist of an original symphonic project blending pop and jazz with the Orchestra della Magna Grecia directed by Maestro Piero Romano. A pop jazz singer-songwriter, she has collaborated with artists such as Al Jarreau, Gilberto Gil, Peter Cincotti, Andrea Bocelli, Ornella Vanoni, Renzo Arbore, Massimo Ranieri, and Raphael Gualazzi. Simona Molinari performs concerts at the Blue Note in New York and Tokyo, at the Estrada Theatre in Moscow, and many other clubs around the world. She has participated in the Sanremo Festival ("Egocentrica" and "La Felicità") as a contestant and twice as a guest. She made her acting debut in the film "C'è tempo" by Walter Veltroni, signing some songs for the soundtrack. In 2022, she was awarded the Targa Tenco for Best Interpreter for the album "Petali". Her latest album, "Hasta Siempre Mercedes", is a tribute to one of the most influential and symbolic artists in all of Latin America, Mercedes Sosa. The album includes eleven beautiful songs: in addition to reinterpretations of some pearls from Sosa's repertoire ("Todo cambia", "Gracias a la vida", "Solo le pido a Dios", "Canciòn de las cosas simples"), the Argentine classics "Volver" and "El día que me quieras", and some references to Naples (including "Caruso"). Among her collaborations, those with Tosca and Paolo Fresu stand out; she performs an original song by Bungaro ("Nu fil' e voce"), writes and performs the song "Swing a Roselle", included in the credits of "Romeo and Juliet", the latest film by Giovanni Veronesi.
